Introduction
Welcome to the Mobile Music Messenger (MMM) blog. As we gear up for the launch of MMM, I thought I’d start off by writing about what led to the creation of Mobile Music Messenger.
My name is Seth Socolow and I am a longtime music addict. There are certainly worse addictions to have in life and as the great Bob Marley put it:
“One good thing about music, when it hits you makes you feel no pain.”
I actually see very little in the way of short term or long term problems with addiction to music, although continued ringing in my ears the next morning after standing up front at a club rock show during my late teens and early twenties and a feeling of uneasiness after reading the warning pamphlets included with every pair of headphones I’ve ever bought has led me to question whether I will suffer from premature hearing loss. I stand further back at rock shows now and on those rare occasions I still feel compelled to be up front “in the pit” I’ve learned to wear earplugs. As for the headphones, like most people with iPhones I use them as much as I ever have in my life, if not more, but maybe I’ve learned to keep the volume a little lower.
